Minimalist Mini MacBook

As someone weaned off of PC hardware (not necessarily Windows), I've had my share of this sticker happy period that's characteristic of PC heads. From desktops to laptops...

So following this tradition, we have a netbook looking like this:

Pretty? I thought so too. Past tense.
I also had once upon a time went as far slapping additional stickers onto my HP Mini MacBook 1001TU:
Well, I'm using the most elegant OS in the world, at least in my own opinion and yet I live with this monstrosity. So now with my HP Mini 311 MacBook, which looked like this before:
Is cleaner now:
If I couldn't have this:

I'd at least have this:
Sorry for the crap picture quality, it's my Nokia 5530 that I took it with.

You have inspired me, I just rubbed off the stickers too, although it kinda hurt rubbing off the Ion sticker :/

I can sympathize with that moment of hesitation. That's something that's always gonna be there I guess.

But my stickers are now on a tucked away on sticker sheet for safekeeping. Or you can always stick them at the bottom :D

I peel off all those ugly 3 stickers inside and one Energy Star sticker outside... within a week I bought my Mini 311. I think they are UGLY and since I've 'upgrade' my Mini 311 to Snow Leopard, it has no reason to be proud of keeping Win7 schticker there.

Any recommendation as to what liquid or technique to use to remove the stickers without damaging the 311c's grey metallic paint?

I just used a damp cloth to wipe of the sticker residue.

I think some rubbing alcohol won't do any harm. If you wanna be on the safe side though, perhaps you can use it diluted - a small amount added to a cloth damp with water.

I updated to 10.6.4 but i LOVE the install package you made to where when you power on your mini 311 you're greeting immediately with the apple logo and spinning wheel. Now for some reason i see my Macintosh HD drive in chameleon that loads with a progress bar. THEN i see the apple with wheel screen. How do i get it back to the way it was??? Where it just looks seemlessly like loading a mac

@Kelly
That's one behavior of Chameleon that has been bewildering me. Sometimes it doesn't show those white text on black, other times it would.

Anyway, you can try replacing your com.apple.Boot.plist with this one.

Use Alter EFI v1.3 - "Edit EFI" option to mount EFI.

Basically, I've added "Quiet Boot"="Yes" in com.apple.Boot.plist.

Restart and see if it changes anything.

^Sorry that should be "Edit Others" instead of "Edit EFI"
